Little things and big things all deserve to be remembered...
Like this beautiful girl getting married.
I'll never forget when Rachel texted the words "I think I'm planning a wedding. Time to meet. STAT." It may not have been those dramatic words exactly, but then again I'm pretty it was.
It seemed impossible that the tiny five year old beauty who bounced around my house (and left a dent with her head in Maddie's windowsill to prove it) could be opening this brand new chapter of her life.
Hannah was married for time and all eternity on a lovely day in May.
She was radiant.
I'm so happy that Maddison and Hannah know the timeless treasure of a sweet friendship.

On a hot summer day in June, Davis and I found ourselves at the local MVD.
Turning 15 1/2 was all about getting that permit.
We waited and we waited.
And we waited some more.
Let's just say it wasn't a celebration the first time around.
But in this case - 2nd time's the charm!

Summertime is not as laid back as it once was but every once in awhile we get a lazy day.
There are four years and two months between these two. For quite awhile it seemed that the crevasse between them was as wide as it was deep. The timing has always been a bit off for them. That gap in years was a factor in their syncing up as playmates. Not that they didn't play together but let's face it, it's hard for a 9 year old (who looks like a 12 year old) Little Leaguer to play real catch with his 5 year old brother.
I've been really happy to see that gap closing this past year.
Cooper used to say things like "I'll never be as good as Davis. I'll never be as big and strong as Davis." And then dripping with a whole lotta sarcasm "yes, I know. Davis has a halo over his head. Everyone can see it." But Cooper is growing in leaps and bounds and will give his big brother a run for his money.
Halo and all.
