Orthopedic Update

We visited the Orthopedic doc yesterday morning. The news was good - Davis won't have to have a cast or sling on his arm. Although he did say that had we brought Davis in the day of the injury he probably would have cast it so that the elbow would have remained totally immobile and the healing could have begun immediately. After a week of parent diagnosis (just take it easy - keep in mind there was no swelling, ever and he did not complain of pain) we have now learned that the extent of the soft tissue damage and not restricting use of the arm has likely contributed to the limited range of motion. Remember my post (2/29) about carrying enough guilt? Well, here ya go! So the doc says some physical therapy and a regular ibuprofen schedule would do the trick. Looks like Davis will still be able to play baseball this season. Happy day!

That's great news. I was worried Brent's day at coach's training would be in vain. Have a super ball season!
