I found this on another blog. I want to make one for my home. I need this reminder. I wish I was more like my mother. She never let an unkind word escape her lips. At least not any that I can recall. Will I be so lucky that my children won't remember my raised voice or unkind words. I'm grateful that after every night there is a new day to start fresh and new. For me this is a treasured gift from my Heavenly Father.

Wow-No soda-You go girl! You are so sweet that I can not even imagine unkind words coming out of you.
I've been so impressed too watching your soda counter, thinking all the while I should be doing the same thing. Good for you! I like the quote...I need to remember it when I feel my blood starting to boil.
Great reminder. I was just thinking this morning how much having a teenager in my house is helping me to keep my frustrations in check. It's like he wants me to get mad to give him an excuse to get mad back at me, so I won't give in. He says mean things and I just remain calm as though it is not affecting me. Maybe I'll post this in HIS bedroom!
That's a great reminder. And at a perfect time. I was just interrupted while writing this by Ethan, who said, "Mom, I need to show you something. And it's BAD!" He took me into the kitchen where Dylan (who yesterday learned to open the fridge!!) had squirted butterscotch syrup all over the bench. But, I just cleaned it up with a smile!!
Andrea you are so good with your post, I love to read them and they uplift my days.
Thanks
I love this quote, too. I actually had vinyl lettering made with this quote a couple years back. It went right up in the family room where we spend most of our time. I truly believe in the power of a kind word.
:)
Mom you are the best mom that anyone could have. You are a great example to me! You remind me of grandma so much. YOU never let a negitive word leave YOUR lips. You never let a negative word pull you down either. I love you so much!
